Top 10 Google Chrome Extension to begin with…

Google Chrome uses has been increased rapidly now a days. Google Chrome cover around 15% of world Internet users and the number is increasing. As I have to say Google Chrome is a Sexy Browser. Especially the growth rate has been increased after it’s recent release with support to extensions. Google Chrome is based on the Webkit layout engine, which is known for its excellent rendering speeds. Besides that, Google introduced a number of other features and enhancements such as the JavaScript processing engine V8, and insanely fast loading speeds along with other improvements such as sandboxing and private browsing mode for improved security. Even though Chrome had all the ingredients for a perfect browser, it still lacks when it comes to add-ons or extensions.

Chrome’s extension base is also growing rapidly. Though Chrome doesn’t have as many extensions as Firefox has, the growth rate of Chrome Extensions created a healthier browser war.

Here, I have listed top 10 google chrome extension… Hope you will enjoy using it, if you haven’t yet…

1. IE Tabs

IE Tabs is neat extension that can open Internet Explorer tabs right inside Google Chrome using the native Trident engine built into Windows. Now most of you may be wondering, “why would I need to have anything IE when I got Chrome?”. Well the answer is pretty simple.

IE is still one of the most dominant web browsers in the world, and therefore, a lot of new and legacy web applications are designed specifically for Internet Explorer, like the new Microsoft Office Web Apps. These apps simply don’t run in Google Chrome, so if you don’t have IE Tabs installed, you’d have to launch Internet Explorer separately to use them.

Plus there is an added bonus for developers as well – you can test how your layout looks and works under Webkit and Trident from the same browser. It goes without saying that this extension is Windows exclusive.

2.  RSS Subscription Extension
This extension auto-detects RSS feeds on the page you are reading and upon finding one will display an RSS icon in the Omnibox, allowing you to click on it to preview the feed content and subscribe.

3. Webpage Screenshot
Fast&Simple extension to capture the whole webpage. Even long pages are saved in one image file. This extension lets you save PNG image of any webpage. Just one click. Designers can choose to resize the window before capturing.

4. Google Reader Notifier
Displays the Google Reader unread count. Clicking the icon shows a preview of your reading list in a popup or it can open Reader in a new tab.

5. Google Mail Checker
Displays the number of unread messages in your Google Mail inbox. You can also click the button to open your inbox.

6. goo.gl URL Shortener
Shorten url with goo.gl. Once compressed the url is automatically copied to clipboard and you can share it with Twitter, Facebook, Blogger, Delicious, Digg, MySpace, Google Reader, Gmail or your default mail client.
There is also the possibility to create custom keyboard shortcuts for shortening the url and copy to clipboard or share with any of supported services

7. Xmarks Bookmark Sync

Previously known as Foxmarks, when this was a Firefox exclusive extension, Xmarks brings cloud based bookmark sync to your browser. As the name suggests, Xmarks is cross-platform and cross-browser meaning that all your favorite bookmarks stay in sync on all the browsers you have on all the operating systems and computers you use.

8. Facebook for Google Chrome

If you don’t use Facebook, then you probably live in a cave. Second thought, even cavemen probably have Facebook profiles now. Anyways, Facebook for Google Chrome is a handy extension that pulls your Facebook live feed, wall, notifications and do some regular stuff like updating your status.

9. LastPass

LastPass encrypted password storage and filling out forms is available across platforms and browsers. Naturally, you’ll want it on Chrome. Use it and the full installer to import all passwords stored with other tools like KeePass, 1Password or Roboform, as well.

10. Mega Button

Mega Button adds a toolbar button that provides fast access to all the background info you could want in Chrome: history, bookmarks, plug-ins, downloads, and much more. If you need Chrome info, this is the way to get it quick.

These are some of my favorite extension. Please share here if you have your favorite extension…
